Fried Green Tomatoes and Maque Choux | $20

A double ground, hand pattied burger cooked to temp upon order. Served on a toasted potato bun with fresh lettuce and crispy pickles. It is topped with 2 fried green tomatoes and a rich and creamy Maque Choux. Maque Choux is a native american style cream corn. It contains bacon,onions, jalapeno peppers, roasted red peppers, garlic and corn slowly reduced down in heavy cream until rich and creamy.

The original Poe’s Tavern opened in 2003 on Sullivan’s Island, SC in a converted early 1900’s beach cottage. We are best known for our gourmet hamburgers — ground in-house from Certified Angus Beef and served with a host of unique top-pings, and our broad and ever-changing lineup of the finest craft beers with an emphasis on local and regional selections.
