As long as he was able most every morning Greg could be found eating a hearty breakfast at his favorite restaurant, Carolina Eatery. His favorite season of the year was Christmas with all the colorful decorations and songs about the birth of Jesus. Many remember Greg’s gift of gab, striking up a conversation with anybody at any time. Greg was a connoisseur of good food, especially his favorite, a perfectly grilled steak. Greg was a gentle giant loved by many.
In honor and memory of Greg please consider a memorial gift to Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Carol Thigpen, 2110 NC Hwy 53 W, Burgaw, NC 28425 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Both of these were near and dear to Greg’s heart.
