WILMINGTON — Rodney Glenn Moore (DOB 8/9/1951- DOD 8/9/2026) of Wilmington, NC, traveled this earthly path into Eternity on his 75th birthday, August 9, 2026.
Rodney is now in the best peaceful, spiritual condition he has ever been even though he was in the worst physical condition he bravely endured his past few years. His exit allowed Rodney to join family members who had taken their journey before his transfer.
Those family members include his twin brothers Alton and Dalton Moore, his mother Mary Bridgeman Moore, and father Macon Edward Moore. His birthplace was Beaufort County, NC. During his recent physical struggles, he was given TLC care from his surviving, devoted brother Vance Moore. His surviving sister Phyllis Moore Stevens continued her loving attention even up until his last day on earth.
Additional family members who encouraged Rodney include nephew Brian Moore who was his texting and phone buddy. In addition he is survived by sister-in-law Debbie Moore and sister-in-law Pat Moore, niece Erica Paige Moore and niece Lauren Moore,nephew Raylee Stevens and nephew Rudy Stevens. He was employed as a commercial fisherman during his last productive years. Friendship was very important to Rodney, whom he gained mainly during his New Hanover High School years.
There will be no formal memorial service at this time, but his family will inform friends and family of an informal gathering at a later date.
