WILMINGTON — Joseph Lewis Maricle, born on July 19, 1964, in Newport, Rhode Island, passed away on August 4, 2026, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 62.
Joseph was a man of strength and determination, full of life and humor. Well-traveled and a jack of all trades, he was known for his love of being a commercial driver and took great pride in his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
A loving son, father, grandfather, and fiancé, Joseph touched many lives and hearts. He is survived by his beloved mother, Connie Maricle; his sister, Kathy Sivia; his son, Christopher Maricle and daughter-in-law, Jen Maricle; his cherished granddaughter, Lorelai; and his fiancée, Rashida Way.
Joseph will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will be remembered always in the hearts of his family and friends. His spirit remains with us, a testament to the impact he had on those around him.
