CASTLE HAYNE — Maria Baker Register, 65, of Castle Hayne, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
She was born on April 30, 1961, in Wilmington, to the late Robert Richard Baker and the late Lenora Caddell Baker.
Maria was a member and a singer at The Church of God in Wallace, NC. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, who will be missed dearly.
Maria is survived by her sons, John-Paul Register (Erin), Jonathan-David Register, Joshua-Aaron Register; her grandchildren, Gabriel, Theodore, Skyleigh, India, Kaya, Uriah, Hunter, Dominic; one great grandchild; her sisters, Lynn Pruitt (Dan), Denise Vermeulen (Peter); Her brother in law, Bennie McLemore; and her cat, Kitty Kitty Meow Meow.
In addition to her parents, Maria is preceded in death by her sisters, Carolyn Jennette Baker and Elizabeth McLemore.
