WILMINGTON — Elizabeth Ann Wells Marsh (age 85), precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026 at Lower Cape Fear Life Center.
She is preceded in death with the recent loss of her beloved husband, Thomas Marsh; parents Alexander and Velva Wells; siblings, Virginia House, Jean Cavenaugh, Andy Wells and the McGirt grandchildren, Sybill and Kevin.
She is survived by her three loving children, Carla Boyd-Daughtry, William “Randy” Edwards and James Marsh (Karen); two cherished grandsons, Bill Boyd (Susan) and Jamie Boyd (Nichole); two adored great-granddaughters, Haley Boyd and Grace Boyd; devoted brother, David Wells (Tommie), treasured Long cousins (her chosen siblings), many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the special McGirt grandchildren, great grandchildren – Crystal, Danielle, Jeffrey (Brianna) Isabella, Isaih, and Illiga.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Encounter Point Church, 131 Elliot Drive, Wilmington, NC 28405. A visitation with the family will be held from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Craig Webb PA-C, Nurse Traci West, Patient Representative Sandra Di Napoli, Dr. Andrew Bishop MD, and Kathryn Monroe, NP-C at Wilmington Health and special thanks to the staff of Lower Cape Fear Life Center.
