WILMINGTON — Kathleen “Pat” Bauer, 95, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
Born in Chicago, Illinois on July 29, 1930 to Andrew and Kathleen Beier, Pat lived a life centered on family, kindness, and friendship. She married Robert “Bob” Bauer on September 9, 1950, and together they shared 55 years of marriage while raising seven children.
Pat devoted many years to caring for her family and home while creating a warm and loving environment for those around her. Later in life, she and Bob moved to North Carolina, where she enjoyed an active social life through local community groups and friendships that meant so much to her.
She will be remembered for her generous spirit, compassion, strength, and the love she freely shared with family and friends. Her warmth and kindness touched many lives and will never be forgotten.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Jeanne and her sons Joseph, James and David, and she is survived by her daughter Jennifer, her sons John and Dan, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial visitation with family and friends will be held Friday, June 5, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation, 1535 S. 41st Street, Wilmington NC. All are welcome to attend, and if unable, can view the visitation by clicking here.
Interment will be held at Spiritland Cemetery in Almond, Wisconsin, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
