HAMPSTEAD — Michael Andrew Davis, 62, of Hampstead, North Carolina, passed away on May 26, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.
Mike was born at the US Army hospital in Wurzburg, Germany, to Charles and Angela Davis. He spent much of his life devoted to his family, his work, and the people around him. He was known for his strong work ethic, stubbornness, unmistakable laugh, sense of humor, ability to fix just about anything, and his constant need to stay busy.
Mike spent many years working in auto mechanics alongside family and lifelong friends, building not only a career he enjoyed, but friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime. He loved relaxing in his garage, tinkering on projects, helping anyone in need, riding his motorcycle, and cruising around in his truck. One of his favorite simple joys was taking his pups on golf cart rides to feed the turtles.
More than anything, Mike valued time spent with family and friends. He spent countless hours in garages with his brothers, not because he had to, but because he genuinely loved being around them. He formed many lifelong friendships throughout the years and left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Davis; his children, Philip (Sarah) Palmer and Darrin Palmer; three grandchildren; His siblings, Kenny (Karen) Davis, Vicky (Bob) Pevoroff, Gary (Heather) Davis, Rick (Wendy) Davis, Tim (Glenda) Davis, and Greg Davis; countless nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends who loved him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Angela Davis; his former wife, Julia Davis; and their beloved dog, Toby.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 12-2pm, at Surf City Farm, 101 Northern Escape Wy, Hampstead, NC 28443.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the love, laughter, and steady presence he brought to the lives of those around him.
