WILMINGTON — Sudie Bell “Susan” Powell, age 91, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
A public viewing took place Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S 5th Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28401.
A celebration of Ms. Powell’s life took place Friday, May 1, 2026 at First Baptist Missionary Church, 520 N 5th Ave., Wilmington, NC 28401.
Interment followed at Calvary Memorial Cemetery.
Her love and memories will remain in the hearts of her children, Jossie Biggs (Carl) of Vienna, VA, Gregory Simpson (Phyllis) of Delco, NC, Antoinette Butler (David) of Raleigh, NC and Deborah Frink (Derek) of Leland, NC; siblings, Christine Froster of Blakey, GA and Noretta Littlejohn of Wilmington, NC, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
