WILMINGTON — Sanford Earl Brinson Sr.,87 of Wilmington, passed away April 25, 2026 at home with his family at his side. He was born July 1,1938 and was the son of the late Linster and Thesy Brinson.
Known as “Sandy ” by his family and friends, he spent most of his time as a machinist, EMT and Sunday School Superintendent. He attended Castle Hayne Advent Christian Church.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Lorena Brinson, son, Earl Brinson
(Connie) of Knightdale, NC. Daughter Carol McCoy (Tim) of Hurricane, WV and daughter Christina Rackley at home. Three grandchildren, Leigh, Adam and Isaiah.
Memorial services for Sandy are scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 2PM at Castle Hayne Advent Christian Church with Pastor Mike Rhodes and Rev. Judy Porter officiating.
