WILMINGTON — Lisa Diana (Williams) Otis, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026.
She was born in Wilmington, NC on November 20, 1961. She cherished her beloved parents, Elijah and Mable Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved and cherished daughter, Priscilla Otis.
Lisa is survived by her beloved son and other-half, “JJ” Otis; her brother Larry Williams; two sisters Brenda Clark and Angela Boswell; her beloved grand-twins, Benjamin and Kaylee, who were her rock; and her former husband and friend, Jay Roland Otis.
Lisa loved spending time with family and enjoyed traveling. When she was relaxing, she could be found with her rice-pack pillow on the back of her neck because it always brought her peace and comfort. Lisa loved animals, especially her dog, “Bear,” who she affectionately called, “Punkers.” She would take him on car rides and go to the Burger King Drive-thru where Bear would always get a free cheeseburger, whenever he made his special appearance! She spoiled him to the point that when he saw ice cream, he would pull his ears back in excitement; Lisa called it his “ice cream ears” and it always made her smile!
Memorial donations would be appreciated and may be made to her family (to help offset expenses) or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital
