WILMINGTON — Wesley R. McCormick,65, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed from this earthly life on Friday, February 20, 2026.
Born July 10, 1960, in Cumberland County raised in Wilmington, North Carolina his entire life.
His father was the late John W. McCormick Jr. and mother, the late Shirley F. McCormick, in addition to his parents Randall was also preceded in death by his wife, Leah Reaume, and his brother; Kem W. McCormick.
Randall was raised in Wilmington North Carolina where he married his one and only wife, Leah Reaume, never to remarry.
He believed in his heavenly father and his savior Jesus Christ. Randall knew that Jesus died on the cross for his sins and conquered death Hell and the grave, but chose to go his own way and live his life as best as he knew how feeling everything was between him and his heavenly father and that he had to answer to no man, and to only God.
He loved his bicycles and rode literally thousands of miles on his bicycles. He loved the outdoors and all God‘s animals and creation. There was not an animal or creature of God‘s that he did not love and admire.
He loved the water, the ocean, rivers and ponds and always found peace wherever water met the shore. He loved spending time looking out over God‘s majestic ocean, wondering where he was going next and looking forward to going home to be with his heavenly father and loved ones that have gone on before him.
He chose a life of solitude and simplicity searching and trying to find peace instead of approval, riches or fame.
He has three beautiful daughters, Kristen A. McCormick (C.R. Page), Cassandra N. McCormick, and Courtney M. McCormick; four beautiful grandchildren that he desperately wanted to know everything about, Jayden K. Long, Trinidad Nicole, Isabel Alexandra, Adelynn Marie; his sister, Deonna Jacques; and his brother, John K. McCormick (Melissa). He leaves behind many family and friends. Nieces and nephews Alex, Heather, Jane, Tosha, Mickell, Kenzie, Jackson, Lydia, Spencer, Gracie, Michael.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington with Pastor Mike Meshaw officiating.
