WILMINGTON — Dr. Kenny Morris, Sr. of Wilmington, NC passed away peacefully at home on February 25, 2026. Kenny was born on November 27, 1937 in Bentonville, NC. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1962.
He is survived by his children Kenny Morris, Jr. (Vicki), Mark Morris (Susan) and Kim Morris; his stepchildren Mary Hawley (Charles), Sue Ellen Dowler (Mark), Paul Hockaday; twelve grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gardner and Gertrude Morris, his sister Jean Morris Bass, his brothers Stephen Carroll Morris and Michael Monzo Morris, his first wife Carolyn Starn Morris (d. 1997) and his second wife, Sue Morris (d. 2025).
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, March 14, 2026 at First Christian Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00PM until the service hour. Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
