HAMPSTEAD — Doris Ritter, 90, of Hampstead, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
She was born January 6, 1936, in Fanrock, WV, to the late Lola Elizabeth Lester and Edward Lester.
Doris was a devout Christian. She loved raising birds and gardening. She loved matching her nail color with her lipstick color. She worked for IBM and waitressed many places. She loved to crochet and enjoyed playing cards and computer games as hobbies and she loved to play Nintendo with her grandkids.
She is survived by her sister, Bessie Morgan; brother, Odie Lester; daughter, Betty Jo Curlee; sons, Michael Rose and Daniel Rose; granddaughters, Danielle Thompson, Crystal Bennett and Serena Rose; grandsons, Michael J. Curlee, Josh Rose and Jason Rose; 12 great-grandchildren (4 boys and 8 girls); 1 great-great-grandson and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
