SOUTHPORT — Barbara R. Vogiatzis, of Southport, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 54 years old.
Barbara was born in Hrisohorofa, Greece and immigrated to the US at 4 years old. She lived in Worcester, MA until moving down to Southport, NC, in 1993, where she lived the rest of her life. Barbara adored her children and husband. She was warm and kind to everyone she met. Barbara was devoted to her faith and was a lifelong member of the Greek Orthodox Church.
Barbara is survived by her husband, of 32 years, Ioannis Vogiatzis; daughter Eleni and partner Zee; sons, Taso and George; sister, Georgia Voyiatzis; nephew, George Voyiatzis and wife, Eleni; brother, Kosta; and brother in-law, Vasili Vogiatzis and wife Irene and nephew, Peter and his wife, Adriana; as well as extended family of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ioanna Raptis; father, George Raptis and brother Vasili Raptis.
