BURGAW — Larry Warrington Skipper, 86, of Burgaw, NC, passed away at home on Sunday, February 22, 2026, with his family by his side.
He was born in Brunswick County, May 23, 1939, to the late Charlie Skipper and Irene Hickman Skipper.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Clarice Sullivan.
Larry and his brother, Charlie M. Skipper, were owners of Skipper’s Well Drilling Company, which was formed many years ago by their father Charlie Skipper, until his retirement in 2023.
Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 2 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Robinson Skipper; three sons, Pait Skipper, Justin Robinson (Amanda), and Cameron Knight (Samantha); a sister, Helen Farrow; a brother, Charlie Skipper (Marilyn); grandchildren, Georgia, Anthony, Alayna, Kennedy and Stella; two devoted friends, “Brothers of the Heart”, Larry Townsend and Eddie Simpson.
Thanks for all the help and support from Teresa, Steve and Nanny Robinson. Thanks to Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
