WILMINGTON — Albert Patrick Micheli, age 81 of Wilmington NC passed away on Thursday, February 12th.
Born in Manhattan, NY to the parents Santina and John Micheli. He was preceded death by his brother Paul Micheli.
He was a true gentleman, a man who walked through life with humility, a positive attitude and a heart full of love.
A proud veteran of the U.S Army, Al carried the discipline and honor of his service into everything he did. He was a visionary and relentless provider, serving as the successful owner of Stock and Barrel Sporting Goods on Long Island. After moving to NC he founded AAA&M Services in Wilmington where he served as a dedicated contractor for the city of Wilmington for many years. He was respected by colleagues and city officials alike as an honest, kind and hardworking leader who was always the first to offer a helping hand.
While his professional achievements were many, Albert’s greatest masterpiece was his family. Married to the love of his life, Peggy for 57 years, he was an extremely present and loving father, who fostered an unbreakable family bond. He grew up along a large vibrant family growing up with many cousins who were more like siblings and remaining a devoted brother, brother in law, father in law, and loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
He taught those around him that being a real man meant being gentle, honest, and putting family first.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy Micheli, his children Albert (Melissa), Alisa (Danny), his four grandchildren Brianna, Al, Emily, Danny and his fuzzy best friend Teddy.
