HAMPSTEAD — Judith Minerva Delgado, 76, of Hampstead, NC passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 in The Landings of Oak Island, NC following a time of declining health.
Judith was born in Puerto Rico, on March 11, 1949 and was a daughter of the late Osvaldo Delgado and Alicia Fuentes Delgado. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Nelson Delgado, along with other cherished family members who entered rest before her. She is survived in loving memory by her siblings Osvaldo Delgado, Freddy Delgado, and Angie Ayala.
Judith worked for Head Start COI and later for Cornell Cooperative Extension, where she dedicated many years of service before retiring. She was always self‑sacrificing, there for others, and through her actions she showed genuine love for people. She loved music and dancing—often clearing the living room furniture just to make space to dance.
Judith enjoyed her ministry deeply, serving as a full‑time pioneer for many years as an active member of the Gordon Road Spanish Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was loyal to her friends, devoted to her family, and above all, faithful to Jehovah. Her compassion, warmth, and steadfast spirit touched all who knew her.
Surviving are her children, Damaris Hicks and husband Jeremy of Jamestown, NY; Ruth Finch and husband Brandon of Leland, NC; Marvin Pantojas and wife Kristy of Reedsville, West Virginia; along with her treasured grandchildren—Kiera Hicks, Liam Finch, Mason Pantojas, and Kendi Pantojas—each of whom brought joy and light into her life. She is also survived by extended family members, dear friends, and a spiritual family who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
A funeral discourse will be conducted at 3:30 PM, on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Gordon Road Congregation.
Online condolences are encouraged and may be sent to the family here.
