WILMINGTON — Donald Ray Adams, 86, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away on February 3, 2026. He was born on February 21, 1939.
Donald retired from Sara Lee after many years of dedicated service. In retirement, he found joy behind a camera lens, exploring off-the-beaten paths, and researching family genealogy – always curious about the stories that connect people across generations.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Adams; his daughters, Bonnie Wrobleski (Jeff) and Jennifer Adams (Katie); four grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-children, Cindy Austin (Tim), John Beasley, and Christina Zehner; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Donald will be remembered for his quiet curiosity, his love of family, and the thoughtful way he captured the world around him.
