WILMINGTON — William “Bill” Wallace Nutt, Jr. (1954) passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025 after his courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family in Wilmington, NC.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, and his presence will be deeply missed. Bill was known for his quick wit, unwavering kindness and devotion to his family and friends.
Bill was born in Trenton, NJ to William Wallace and Jacquelin Sommerville. He attended Roselle Park High School in Roselle Park, NJ and Loyola College (Montreal). He married his beloved wife, Marianne, in 1979, and together they raised their daughter, Sara.
Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marianne; his daughter, Sara (Sam); and his beloved granddaughter Kaylynn; brother, John (Susan); and sisters, Ann and Barbara.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
