Mick was a quiet, supportive, and steadfast presence to all who knew him. He was a proud graduate of Monticello High School. He pursued his passion for helping others by attending Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, graduating with the Class of 1962. His dedication to the pharmaceutical field was evident throughout his distinguished career.
As one of the owners of Sixty Now Pharmacies in Syracuse, NY, Mick enjoyed daily interactions with customers, friends, and neighbors. He ran a pharmacy that was more than just a business; it was a cornerstone of the community. Mick was always willing to share his knowledge, offering guidance and advice, and volunteering the necessary support to others to regain their health and lead fulfilling lives.
Throughout his career, Mick was a respected member of Phi Delta Chi, a pharmaceutical fraternity, and worked for prominent establishments after his retirement, including Rite Aid, Eckerd, and Futrell Pharmacies. His commitment to his profession and the well-being of those around him was unwavering, as further exemplified by his dedication as a Scoutmaster, Lions Club member, volunteer fireman, and President of Torpy’s Pond Outdoor Club for many years.
Mick enjoyed many outdoor activities, including fishing, gardening, birding, and boating. Being on or near the water gave him great joy. In particular, he loved time spent at Torpy’s Pond, Lake Gaston, and the beaches surrounding Wilmington.
Mick cherished his roles as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His family was everything to him, and he relished every moment spent with them. Mick’s legacy of love, kindness, and wisdom will continue to inspire all who knew him.
