WILMINGTON — Virginia “Betty” Stafford Profitt, 91, died at her home on March 25, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Betty was born in Bluefield, WV on March 17, 1934 to the late Miles and Cleo Stafford. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Benji Profitt; son, Bret Profitt; and grandson, Luke Profitt. She is also preceded in death by her brother; Kenneth Stafford and a sister; Rita Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Rutherford; son in law, Rick Funai; grandsons, Hunter, Tanner and Landon; and granddaughter, Emily and her husband Denver; two great-granddaughters, Macy and Hadley.
Betty loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed beach trips, shopping and sweet treats. Her devotion to her family was evident in everything she did.
