WILMINGTON — Nancy Denise Yerby, 73, of Wilmington, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was born on May 23, 1951, in Durham, NC, to the late Elijah Triplett and the late Shirley Marie Clayton Triplett.
She valued her relationships with her friends and family with her whole heart and would go over and beyond for any of them at any time.
Her relationship with her siblings was definitely one of a kind, deep seeded with all the love and the most laughter anyone could possibly imagine. Being in their presence at any time, you would leave them with sore cheeks and belly’s from the continuous and contagious laughter.
To say she adored her grandson Mason is an understatement, he was her light and what woke her up and brought her back to life and kept her there when he was born.
Her daughter Julie was her world and their unbreakable bond still hasn’t been broken and nothing will ever change that. Nancy and her daughter faced the world together through all the laughter and tears and everything in between.
She always said Julie and Mason were her two hearts.
She had the Most caring loving soul that also had no filter and said whatever she has on her mind, which is one of the reasons everyone loves her like they did. You never knew what exactly may come out of her mouth.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Julie Beaulieu(Josh); brother, Norman Triplett; sisters, Donna Triplett Pickett, Terry Triplett Witting, and Melony “JoJo” Triplett Evoniuk (Gary); sister-in-law, Sandy Triplett; grandchild, Mason Beaulieu; step grandchild, Lexi Beaulieu; and “adopted daughter”, Kelly Boyle.
In addition to her mother and father, Nancy was also preceded in death by her brothers David Triplett and Gary Triplett.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
