OAK ISLAND — Toni C. Holland, 72, of Oak Island, NC, passed away March 3, 2025.
She was born November 1, 1952 in Graham, NC, she was the daughter of Devoy and Dorothy Coble. She was a graduate of Appalachian State University. She was an educator for 30 years before her retirement.
She was active in her Bible Study groups at Generations Church. She loved going fishing with her son Jake. She enjoyed knitting hats for new babies at Dosher Hospital. Toni enjoyed sitting on the porch reading while listening to the waves. She loved spending time with her friends and was a mother to many.
She is survived by her children, Jacob LaPrade, and Charlotte Griffith and her husband, Allen; her grandchildren, Garrett LaPrade, Nicholas LaPrade, Abby LaPrade, Gracie Griffith, Reagan Griffith, Logan Cowles, JT LaPrade, Andrea Sparkman, and Mackenzie LaPrade; one great grandchild, Sabel LaPrade.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Jonathan Holland; a son, Devan LaPrade; and a brother, Larry Coble.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
