WILMINTON — Gordon Anthony Shepherd, born on January 17, 1949, in Woodstock, Vermont, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 76.
A dedicated professional, Gordon spent his career as a skilled carpenter, leaving behind numerous structures that stand as a testament to his craftsmanship and commitment. He also served his country with honor as a veteran of the United States Army, an experience that shaped his life and values. In his later years, Gordon was a proud member of the American Legion Post 68 in Leland.
Gordon is survived by his three children: Jason “Cowboy” Shepherd, Stephanie Shepherd, and Steven Shepherd; and his two sisters, Carol and Margaret; and his special friend and caregiver, Alan Williams.
