HAMPSTEAD — John Michael Drish, Sr., 75, of Hampstead, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 10, 1949, in New Haven, CT, to the late John and Olivia Tartt Drish.
John owned and operated Utility Specialist Co Inc. in Wilmington. He was an avid sportsman, loved hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Daphna Kaye Drish and a sister Lucy Arnette.
Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca Fay Drish Eady (Nicholas); sons, Michael Selden Drish and John Michael Drish, Jr. (Melanie D.); grandchildren, Selbie Lyn Drish, Whitni D. Leedy (Jason), John Michael Drish III (Sydney), Jaxon Barrett Drish, Hunter Melton (Leighanne), and Walker Melton and great-grandchildren, Bryson Leedy, Colson Leedy, Kyleigh Melton and Levi Melton.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, January 15, at Andrews Market Street Chapel.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
