WILMINGTON — Carol Ulmer Cadogan, age 82, of Wilmington, NC, peacefully passed away on November 16, 2024.
Born in New Jersey on March 30, 1942, Carol spent much of her life in New Jersey and New York before relocating to Wilmington 19 years ago. She was the cherished daughter of the late William and Helen Ulmer.
Carol leaves behind her devoted husband of 62 years, Dermot; her loving sister, Linda; her brother, Bill; her children, Cindy and Craig; and her beloved grandchildren, Kyle, Maddy, and Olivia.
Carol’s unwavering love and devotion to her family were the cornerstone of her life. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, she selflessly put her loved ones first. Her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to be in her life.
A woman who treasured her family and friends, Carol loved decorating (and redecorating) her home, shopping, dining out, and going to the movies. Her zest for life and the joy she found in being surrounded by her loved ones brought comfort and happiness to all who knew her.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at Clubhouse at Vineyard Plantation, 614 Winery Way, Wilmington, NC 28411, on January 18, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to Lower Cape Fear Lifecare, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
