OCEAN ISLE BEACH — William James Hoyle, 93 of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Myrtle Beach Manor in South Carolina.
He was born on September 18, 1931 in Providence Rhode Island to the late Chester and Louise (Higgins) Hoyle.
William was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served as a Radio Operator from 1952 – 19 56 where he earned his Korean Service Medal and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. He married his childhood friend Joan (Neary) Hoyle. After the military William began a career as an Electronic Technician with the Federal Aviation Administration.
He and his wife moved to Ocean Isle Beach in the early 2000’s where they found many friends, especially at Seaside United Methodist Church and the Brunswick Senior Center.
A service for William with military honors will be held at Seaside United Methodist Church, 1300 Seaside Road, Sunset Beach, NC.
