WILMINGTON — Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Hoover was born February 5, 1942, in Acton, Indiana to Howard and Irene Hoover. He died peacefully at the age of 82, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center. He was lovingly cared for by the staff there.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Irene Hoover, his sister Margorie Yates and brother, Jerold Hoover. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Messer and brother-in-law, Tom Messer; sister, Cathy Johnson and brother-in-law, Jerry Johnson; sister-in-law, Violet Hoover as well as many nieces and nephews.
As Ronnie lay on his death bed the Lord Jesus was on his mind. One day he said, “Jesus is with me.” The next day “I asked Jesus to forgive me for my sins” and another day “I am going to see Jesus tonight.”
His family, friends, neighbors and all at Wilmington Bible Chapel will miss him.
