WILMINGTON — Brenda Sweat Merrell, 71, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S 5th Ave., Wilmington, NC 28401.
Her love and memories will remain in the hearts of her children, La Guardia D. Wu (Shihhsien) of Guyton, GA, Octavia G. Merrell of Wilmington, Yolanda N. Merrell (Nathaniel Henderson) of Jonesboro, GA and Timothy E. Newton of Wilmington; siblings, Joseph Sweat of Laurinburg, Annie Nixon (Michael) of Castle Hayne, Shelia Watson (Danny) and Barbara Bloodworth (Tony) of Wilmington, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
