Lori Gallo, 62

Lori Gallo (Atlantic Cremation Services)

WILMINGTON — Lori Gallo (ex-married name Loy) passed away on October 1, 2024 from heart complications.

She was born March 24, 1962 in Atlanta, Georgia to Anthony Joseph Gallo Jr. and Lois Jane Wesbecher. She attended Nurnberg HS, Woodbridge HS, University of Vermont and George Mason University. She was a military dependent and was fortunate to live in a number of places in the States as well as overseas. She got to travel extensively both as a youngster and in her later years. She lived much of her life in the Northern Virginia area, working in property management and county government.

Upon retiring she moved south to Fleming Island, FL and then Wilmington, NC as she loved the warm weather and beaches. Lori was out-going (just ask all her teachers and friends). She loved new experiences and adventures, cooking, reading, all types of music, and especially the beach! She loved parties with family and friends and having fun!!

She is preceded in death by both her parents.

She is survived by her son, Caden Loy, the very best thing that ever happened to her and whom she loved more than anything in the world. Her sister Elizabeth Quattrone (Joseph), her brother Christopher Gallo (partner Karla), her niece Ali Morgan, and grand niece Franki, as well as aunts, uncles, countless cousins, and her BFF, Lana Zylka, and of course, Cooper, her rambunctious, faithful fur baby!

A Celebration of Life will be held in Northern Virginia for family and friends to have fun, reminisce, and honor Lori’s life. The location, date, and time of the Celebration will be forthcoming in the next week.
