CASTLE HAYNE — Barbara Jean Roberts, 51, of Castle Hayne, passed away on September 20, 2024, in Wilmington, North Carolina, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on July 15, 1973, in Vancouver, Washington.
Barbara was a lifetime member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Barbara was a bright light to many and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Harley Roberts; their children, Blaine Roberts, Bree Roberts; her mother, Gwen (Tikka) Shackleton; her father, John Hatman; her brothers, Jeffrey (Heather) Hatman, Charles (Amanda) Hatman, Christopher (Christina) Hatman; her sister, Heather (Lonnie) Heidegger; and a host of other loving Christian friends and family members.
Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, John Hatman; and her stepfather, Doyle Shackleton.
A public viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington. There will be a reception at the church following the interment
