SURF CITY — Patricia “Pat” Ann Swigert, 78, of Surf City and formally of Baltimore, MD passed from her earthly life to her eternal rest Thursday, September 19, 2024, at home.
She was born April 14, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Claude Benson Bell and Josephine Wanda Stoppa Bell. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Swigert.
Pat is survived by her stepdaughter, Kristy Kessler and her husband, Matthew; sister, Sandra Miller (Robert “Bob”); brother, Gregory Bell (Nancy); and many extended family members and friends. Not to be forgotten is her Pomeranian, Snowy, her most faithful companion.
Pat worked in a job she loved as a Payroll Manager at Maryland Management Company for over 30 years. She spent many years happily married to her husband, Bob, caring for their furry children Killer, Buffy, Rusty, Junior, Max, May, Coco, and Snowy. Pat enjoyed playing Bingo where she was blessed with more luck than any person you’ll ever meet. She loved watching Football, even when the players ignored her suggestions shouted at the TV. Later in life, she moved to North Carolina to be close to her step daughter, Kristy, and her husband Matt, where many fun nights were spent playing Uno and listening to Elvis records. Pat was kind, caring, and funny, and above all deeply loved. She will be truly missed!
Following Patricia’s request there will be no services at this time. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Robert, in Maryland at a later date.
