Elva Erleen Heath, 89

Elva Erleen Heath (Atlantic Cremation Services)

Our Sweet, beautiful mother passed peacefully Sunday night at Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center in Wilmington, NC surrounded by family and love.

Erleen was predeceased by her parents Herman and Minnie Shockley, infant siblings James, Imogene and Geraldine and her great grandson, Harbin Heath.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Monte Heath; Greg (Darlene) Heath of Waynesville, NC; Robin Krivonak of Hampstead, NC and LeeAnn Bartron of Hampton, VA. Her siblings, Eddie Shockley; Homer (Katie) Shockley of Winston Salem, NC and Juanita Gillespie of Dobson, NC. Five grandchildren, Amber (Seth) Quinn of Kenansville, NC; Brandy Bartron of Poquoson, VA; Brian (Rachel) Heath of Belmont, NC; Shaun (Kristi) Bartron of Poquoson, VA; and Nathan (Shelby) Heath of Waynesville, NC. Along with thirteen great grandchildren.

Our mother loved the Lord and kept her faith strong throughout her life. We know she must have been so excited to be welcomed home to Heaven.

Erleen loved all genres of music but her most favorite was anything from Elvis. That was a guaranteed way to put a smile on her face and a little pep in her step. Purple has had no bigger fan than her which made gifts easy because she would love it if it was purple. Chocolate was also a solid option. She had the best sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. She remained positive even during difficult times and was known to say, “It will get better” and “Let it go”.

She will be greatly missed but we find comfort in knowing she is fully healed and dancing in Heaven.

In honor of her wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Wilmington, NC.

A special thank you to Lower Cape Fear Life Care Hospice Center for ensuring that our mother was well taken care of in her final days earthside.
