OAK ISLAND — Harold Dean Marley, age 87, of Oak Island, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Marley was born December 25, 1936 in Lenoir, North Carolina, son of the late Vernon Marley and Mabel Hodge. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired from RJ Reynolds.
Survivors include his son, Harold (Crystal) Marley, Jr. ; two daughters, Elizabeth Marley Laws and Alissa Riley Marley; six grandchildren Michael Marley, Misty (Joey) White, Kayla (Randy) Hawkins, Lakyn Laws, Matthew Marley and Justin Laws; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Ann Marley, Jeannie Marley Corriher; Debra Hodge Hester and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Marley; brothers William “Billy” Roope, Kenneth Vernon Marley and Larry Carol Marley.
