WILMINGTON — Antonio Inguaggiato, died on Sunday, August 11, 2024, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 68.
He was born in Italy on April 25, 1956 the son of the late Mariano and Nunzia (DiGangi) Inguaggiato.
There was never a moment he did not light up the room and was always the life of the party. He had a love for being outside working in the garden and loved a good Flea market. He loved taking the grandchildren to the beach. He especially loved to open up his house to all his adopted children and grandchildren. He never turned away a stranger.
Antonio was a dedicated Pizza Chef for Pizzetta’s Pizzeria in Leland, where he shared his culinary talents and passion for pizza-making with the community. His commitment to his craft was evident in every dish he prepared.
Antonio leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Mary Berny Inguaggiato; his daughter, Allysin Inguaggiato; his granddaughter, Isabella Claire; his grandson, Michael; his brother John Inguaggiato and wife Donata and his sister, Gandolfa Falconeri and husband Joe. A number of nieces and nephews and well as great nieces and nephews.
The family will see friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
Services will also be held in New York at a date to be announced.
Antonio’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
