WILMINGTON — Kathaleen “Kathy” Jones Mintz, 67, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024, with her family by her side.
Kathy was born on October 22, 1956 in Tampa Florida to the late C.B. Jones and Beulah Garner Jones. She grew up in Wilmington, NC and graduated from New Hanover High School. Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved spending time with them. She took on many hobbies such as cake decorating, flower arranging and painting. She also found great joy being outside and working in her yard.
Kathy was survived by her daughter Lisa Mintz, grandson Dylan Mintz and great-grandson Brayden Justice-Mintz, as well as her beloved chihuahua “Scooter”.
Kathy was a loving mother and a cherished “Nanny” who brought warmth and kindness to all who knew her, and she will be missed deeply.
A Visitation Hour will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation, 1535 S. 41st Street, Wilmington, NC 28403.
