SOUTHPORT — Harland Wesley Peaslee, age 78, of Southport, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024.
Mr. Peaslee was born November 19, 1945, son of the late Fullum and Ruby Peaslee. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served aboard the USS Dewey during the Vietnam Conflict. Harland was a member of Shoreline Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, a Sunday School teacher, and a choir member. He lived his life for the Lord. He was also an avid sports fan, especially for the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and the New England Patriots.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Peaslee; two daughters, Fonda Williams and Michelle Peaslee; 10 step-children; 31 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 12 siblings; and a granddaughter, Alexis.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 3:00 pm with visitation at 2:00 pm at Shoreline Baptist Church.
