WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — Virginia Abbott, 89 Years of Age, peacefully passed on to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 26th, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear Lifecare.
Virginia was born April 14th, 1935, in Lynchburg, Virginia to Kate Bowles and Walker Ashwell. She was the wife of deceased S. John Abbott, deceased daughter Pam and
son Keith Abbott. She was survived by daughter Sharon Embry, granddaughter April Hinnant and her spouse Austin Hinnant and their three children Dustin, Carter and Tyler.
Virginia was a faithful member of Wrightsville Methodist Church, where she was loved by many. She enjoyed hours of Arts & Crafts, and had a strong passion for interior design
all her life. She was the light in every room, she brought color and happiness everywhere she went. She leaves many relatives, who adored her kindness and love.
The memorial service will be held at Wrightsville Methodist Church at 4 Live Oak Drive in Wrightsville Beach on Monday, June 3 at 3:00 PM.
