WILMINGTON — John C Henderson, Jr. passed away from this world on May 13, 2024 with his loving daughters and family by his side. “Johnny” (as he was known to many) will be miss for his smile and laughter that is the forefront in his family’s and friends’ memory.
John was born on January 17, 1952, in Wilmington NC, the son of the late John C Henderson and his beloved mother, Yvonne (Britt) Henderson. John was a hard worker and for years worked in maintaining numerous apartment complexes, where he certainly made a friend with each tenant that he helped. In his free time, he could be found enjoying the outdoors while working diligently in his beautiful yard. He was predeceased by his brother, Ray Henderson.
John’s life was a testament of the importance of “kindness to others” and in him dwelt a deep and intense love for his two daughters, Angela (Norman) Milano and Charlotte Hodge of Leland, NC., his grandchildren, Abigail Christopher, Analee Christopher, Lily Hodge, John Hodge and “Luke”. He had a special loving relationship with his Uncle Billy Henderson (Pat). John will be missed, yet his spirt will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who were lucky enough to be a part of his journey.
