WILMINGTON — Austin Daniel Waller, born on March 25, 1989, in Jacksonville, NC, went home to be with the Lord at the young age of 35 on April 30, 2024, at his Home.
Graduating from Jacksonville High School, Austin discovered his love for music while playing the viola in the orchestra and exploring his talents in acting and theatrics. This passion led him to pursue further studies in the subject at UNC-Wilmington.
He worked for the Technical Support Department at UNC-Wilmington. He was a talented employee who was recognized and respected for his knowledge of computers. Beyond his studies and career endeavors, Austin’s interests were as diverse as they were fascinating – from collecting dinosaur and dragon figurines to immersing himself in the world of gaming, especially video games. He also enjoyed computer animation, role playing and never lost the love for music.
A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints, Austin’s faith was an integral part of his life. He served honorably for 2 years on a mission trip in Salt Lake City, South Utah.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Daniel T. Waller and Diane (Harper) Waller of Jacksonville; sister, Anita Ashabranner (Paul Gaffney) of Jacksonville; nephew, Robert Johnson (fiancé, Sarah Hatton) and niece, Crystal Elsner (Hunter).
A Celebration of Life to honor Austin will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints, 300 Brynn Marr Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28546.
To know Austin is to know of his loud, unmistakable laugh and his quirky, creative personality. A unique soul who touched the lives of many, he will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.
