JACKSONVILLE — We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Christina Renea Nelson (Hinshaw) on April 28, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare. Born in California on December 28, 1974, Christina was a beacon of love, joy, and adventure in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
In 1997, Christina married the love of her life, Victor Nelson, and embarked on a beautiful journey of love and companionship. As a military wife, Christina embraced the chance to travel the world with Victor, creating a tapestry of cherished memories. Their adventures led them to Germany for three fruitful years, an experience Christina held dear to her heart. They also lived in various parts of the United States, finally settling in Jacksonville, NC, in 2018, drawn by their love for the ocean.
Christina’s spirit, her zest for life, and her heart full of love will continue to live on in the memories of those who loved her. Her devotion and love for her two dogs, Luna and Stella, were a testament to her compassionate nature and her capacity for unconditional love.
Tranquility Cremation by Aquamation is handling Christina’s aquamation, ensuring Christina’s final journey unfolds in harmony with her love for water.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Please check back often for updates, as we look forward to commemorating Christina’s vibrant life and the remarkable woman she was.
