WILMINGTON — Our beloved Ann Beverly Stutts King, born in Moore County, NC on Dec. 28, 1950, passed away early Saturday morning, April 20, 2024. She is survived by her daughter Kate Johnson, her son Dave Kidd (Nicole), her sisters Melissa Jackson and Billie Burns (Ronnie), her brother Don Stutts, her niece Chris Jackson, her nephews Ron and Casey Burns, her grandchildren Jacob and Cole Johnson and Josh Kidd, and her husband John King and ex-husband David Kidd, plus myriads of cousins and friends to include Kay Cameron.

Born in Pinehurst, NC, Beverly was predeceased by her parents Lucy Mason and Bill Stutts, her grandparents Mamie and Henry Stutts and Maud and John Brafford, brother-in-law Robert Jackson, nephew Rob Jackson, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and special cousin Chris Slack.

Beverly was a multi-talented musician, loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and wife. She taught school, was a skillful cosmetologist, and a true friend to many, having lived in the Wilmington community since 1972. Her memory will be cherished as an example of love, loyalty, giving, and faith, gracing those who knew her.
