Jason Carl Yandell, 38

WILMINGTON — Jason Carl Yandell, a quiet and gentle soul, passed away on March 25, 2024. Born on December 14, 1985, in Winston-Salem, NC, Jason cherished the simple pleasures in life.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jessica Lyn Yandell, their son Mason Samuel Yandell, age 10, and their daughter Anna Marie Yandell, age 4. The family, residing in Leland, NC, was Jason’s rock, his source of joy and calm.

A plumber by trade, Jason found satisfaction in his work. He enjoyed the tranquility of fishing, the camaraderie of cornhole games with friends, and the soothing rhythms of country music. He was a lover of all things chocolate, and he also had a pretty impressive collection of hats.

Jason’s love for his family knew no bounds. He enjoyed spending time with his children, whether it was fishing with his son or swimming in the pool together. The nightly routine of putting his ‘baby girl’ Anna to bed was a cherished ritual.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family’s GoFundMe page at https://gofund.me/1efa5127 or to a charity supporting mental health and suicide awareness.

A celebration of Jason’s life will be held at a later date. Please check back for updates. Gifts for the Yandell family can be sent to Tranquility Cremation by Aquamation, 2209 Delaney Ave., Wilmington, NC 28403.

Jason’s reserved nature and love for his family will be deeply missed, leaving a void that will be felt by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
