WILMINGTON — Sidney Albert Boney, III, affectionately known as Sid, was born on September 29, 1988, in Brunswick County, NC. On September 13, 2023, at the age of 34, he departed this world, leaving behind a legacy that will forever inspire those who knew him.
Sid was a hardworking individual who dedicated his time to maintaining septic tanks. Through his work, he displayed a strong sense of responsibility and commitment. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made him a valued member of the industry.
Outside of work, Sid found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He attended New Beginnings Community Church, Currie, NC. He had a green thumb and took great pride in his landscaping and gardening skills. Whether it was tending to his plants or transforming outdoor spaces into vibrant sanctuaries, Sid’s passion for nature was evident.
Above all else, Sid cherished the time he spent with his children. Jayden, Noah, and Rhema Kailynn brought immense joy to his life. Their laughter and love filled his heart, making every moment spent together precious and meaningful.
Sid leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is survived by his father, Albert Sidney Boney, Jr., and his mother, Cheryl Robbins. In addition, he leaves behind his brother, Timothy Roberts, and sisters, Wendy Lewis and Beverley Norris, along with their respective spouses.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday September 29, 2023 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel, where friends and family will gather to honor and remember Sid. Following the service, loved ones will have an opportunity to offer their condolences and support to the grieving family.
