HAMPSTEAD — John “Jerry” Gerald Brennan, age 87, of Hampstead, NC passed away on April 9, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.
He was born on April 23, 1935, in Binghamton, NY to the late William Brennan and Marie Keough Brennan.
Jerry was an Army Veteran in the 82nd airborne and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, telling jokes, reading, and playing chess. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, who will be dearly missed by many.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Geraldine Patricia Brennan, his son; Kevin Brennan, Gerry Brennan, Thomas Scuorzo (Katie), Michael Scuorzo (Valerie), Robert Scuorzo (Deborah); his daughters, Heather Clark (James), Robin Fendick (Mark), and Dawn Mack (Buck); his brother, James Brennan; and grandchildren, Cameron Clark, Paige Clark, Joshua Fendick, Jake Scuorzo (Madison), Nicholas Scuorzo, Stephanie Scuorzo, Max Scuorzo (Michelle), Maria Scuorzo, Hannah Mack McCall (Duell), Logan Mack, Kiernan Brennan, and McKayla Brennan; as well as great grandchildren, Griffin, Garrett, Phoenix, Arrow, and Bella the Beagle; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was also in preceded in death by his brothers, William Brennan and Joseph Brennan.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington with the US Army performing military honors.
