WILMINGTON — Charleene Edna Walters, age74, passed gently from her earthly life Friday, February 10, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.
She was born October 6, 1948 in Huntington Station, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, the daughter of the late Charles Harold Walters and Ida Henneborn Walters.
Charleene is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianna Sprague and Chuck Muggelberg; grandchildren, Kyle McManus (Ali Murray), Ryan McManus (Tanesha Williams), Danielle Madden, Heather Muggelberg, and Gabrielle Muggelberg; great grandchildren, Jayce, Jesse, Reagan, Damien, Serenity, and James; and many good friends that Charleene met along life’s way.
First, Charleene worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse then went on to enhance her nursing career by attending college and becoming a Registered Nurse, working for 30 years with Wilmington Health.
There will be a gathering of family and friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2023 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home for a time of sharing fond memories.
