WILMINGTON — Sandra K. Bordeaux Smith, 78, of Wilmington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center.
She was born February 16, 1944, in Wilmington, NC, to the late Russell Bordeaux and Dorothy Spooner Bordeaux.
Sandra retired from Corning and was a longtime member of Lake Forest Baptist Church. She enjoyed starting her day off with a cup of coffee, reading her daily devotions, taking care of her cats as well as feeding the birds and watching them through the windows.
She is survived by her son, Richard D. Strickland, Jr. and his wife Dorothy, of Florida; her daughter, Jill M. Allman of Leland, NC; one grandson, Travis Allman and wife Samantha and three great-grandchildren, Wesley Jude, Bennett Rhys and Theodore Finn Allman of Michigan.
A Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive visitors one hour prior, beginning at 10 a.m., in the mausoleum chapel, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Bill Denny, Bill reaves, Allen Yopp, Andreas Williams, George Howard II and Gary Allen.
Soloist/guitarist will be P.J. Murrell.
