HAMPSTEAD — Thurman Wirt Casey age 76, of Hampstead passed away on Sunday November 27, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born on July 26, 1946 in Pender County, He was the son of the late Samuel Wirt and Martha Bridgers Batts Casey.
He is survived by his wife Maria Avery Casey, stepdaughter Elizabeth Lea Casey (Brittany Langdon), his son Wes Casey and grandson Hunter Casey both of Rocky Point. As well as his beloved dogs, Rudy, Lola, Chaney, and River.
A very special thanks to his lifelong friends Bobby and Peggy Smith, and Mark Williams (Olya Williams) for always being by his side and Jennifer Barr (James Barr) for always making him laugh.
At Thurman’s request a Celebration of Life will be held privately at a later date.
