WILMINGTON — Alexis Marie Simmons-Ross, 25, of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away on October 20, 2022 peacefully with her grandmother by her side.
She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Talavera (NC); father, Greg Ross (NY). Sister, Ashley Towery (nephew-James Mahoney), and brother Christian Talavera. She is also survived by her grandparents Janet & Steve Burdette; grandfather Jeff Simmons; aunt-cousin April Simmons; uncle, Joel (Malinda) Simmons (NY); “Daddy” – Kyle Towery (MI), Gramma, Brenda Towery (MI). As well as being survived by her paternal grandparents, Penny & Robert Tennant Sr, of NY; Aunts, Christy Vongkamchanch, and children Paige & Tyler; Amy (Jacob) Strohl, and children Emily, Eryka, and Bryson; uncle, Jason Ross, and children Jasmine & Jason; uncle, Stephen (Victoria) Ross; aunt, Tessa (Kaenin) Coonrod, and children Rorke & Ryatt. Uncles, Robert Tennant Jr and Shawn Tennant. She will be missed by many of her extended family members, friends, and acquaintances.
Alexis Marie was preceded in death by great grandparents Jack and Eloise Card, as well as her great uncles, Richard Cart and Dean Westmiller. Alexis has been welcomed by many close friends that preceded her in her journey.
The family will hold a private service at a later time.
